This programme trains residents of Sripura panchayat in business planning, financial management and enterprise development, then supports them through the harder part: actually opening and running a shop. It's structured around a specific, measurable end point rather than open-ended skilling. 69 beneficiaries in Sripura have successfully established their own shops. While this is a modest number next to some of this portfolio's larger figures, each one represents a household that has moved from training to self-employment, which is a harder threshold to cross.
