Program:
Traditional craft in India rarely struggles for skill; it struggles for market access. Running since FY 2023-24 across artisan clusters in Maharashtra, Karnataka, Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan, this initiative works in textile arts, natural fibre crafts, weaving, indigenous art forms and handmade products, connecting artisans to designers, buyers and collectors through curated exhibitions and design-led workshops. In FY 2024-25, the focus shifted specifically to product diversification and enterprise strengthening: helping artisans move from making beautiful objects to running viable, scalable businesses around them.
Measurable Outcomes:
Over 100 artisans across four states have been directly supported, with 400+ benefiting indirectly. Participating artisans report improved product quality, expanded market reach and stronger commercial viability, alongside the less measurable but equally important gain of keeping traditional techniques alive and economically relevant.
