Program:
Launched in FY 2023-24, this initiative addresses a specific problem in Betalghat Block: difficult terrain, a shortage of healthcare professionals, and long travel distances that routinely delay diagnosis and treatment for entire villages. Working with the National Health Mission, the Foundation set up five Tulsi e-Health Centres, at Dhaniyakote, Simalkha, Unchakote, Kalakhet and Sukha-Dunkhori, each staffed by a trained Health Assistant who connects patients to doctors over video through the government's e-Sanjeevani platform. Alongside teleconsultations, the centres run on-site diagnostics: blood pressure, blood sugar and haemoglobin testing, ECGs, medicine distribution, and follow-up care for chronic conditions like hypertension and diabetes. Mobile Community Health Desks extend the same services into villages the fixed centres can't reach, backed by regular awareness sessions on nutrition, hygiene, menstrual health and non-communicable disease.
Measureable Outcomes:
Since launch: 7,484 teleconsultations, over 10,000 patient visits, 5,500+ blood pressure screenings, 2,600+ blood sugar tests and 1,300+ haemoglobin tests. The programme has also run 255 mobile health camps, 224 community awareness sessions reaching 2,468 people, and 50 school health programmes benefiting 965 students. Total reach stands at 10,041+ direct beneficiaries and 20,000+ indirect.
