Settling the Dust

Program:

Dry season in Sripura means dust - kicked up by vehicles and daily foot traffic along village roads, hanging in the air long enough to become a genuine respiratory concern for children, older residents, and anyone with existing breathing sensitivities. Regular water sprinkling on the busiest roads keeps that dust down, particularly during the driest months when it would otherwise be at its worst. Around 3,000 villagers benefit from the improved air quality this brings - a small, recurring intervention that's easy to overlook precisely because it's meant to be invisible when it's working.
