Keeping the Lights On for Learning

Program:

Frequent power outages in Dehradun were disrupting more than just convenience at a residential school for underprivileged girls; they were interrupting classes, vocational training and basic safety after dark. This FY 2025-26 intervention installed a reliable power backup system built specifically to keep lighting, educational resources and safety infrastructure running through outages, rather than leaving the institution to manage around them.

Measurable Outcomes:

Around 50 resident girls benefit directly, with 100+ reached indirectly. The system has restored continuity to educational programming, digital learning activities and campus safety in a facility where all three had previously been vulnerable to something as basic as the local power supply.
