Bringing the Art World to Vijayanagar

Program:

Running through FY 2023-24 in Karnataka, this programme gave students, educators, artists and young professionals structured access to contemporary artistic practice, exhibitions, workshops, artist interactions and public programmes, engagement that's usually concentrated in India's biggest cities and rarely reaches Vijayanagar directly.

Measurable Outcomes:

Over 200 participants engaged directly, with 500+ reached through exhibitions and public programmes that extended beyond the core participant group. The programme's contribution shows up less in a single metric and more in the exposure to contemporary art practice it made possible for people who wouldn't otherwise have had it.
